The artist studio, built in 2003 of Appalachian solid-wood logs, overlooks the valley and Indian Creek. Large double-paned windows on all sides let in a good amount of light filtering through the surrounding trees. The floor is of quality tongue and groove pine. Exposed 4”x10” roof beams and trusses add a rustic theme to the interior. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and water heater. Heating is by electric baseboard units. The studio is well suited to sleep four comfortably. The covered deck is 8'x20'.
The large patio ( approx. 720 sq. ft.) is of local flagstone. The wet-bar and barbecue shelter feature a smoker, charcoal barbecue/grill, a propane grill, two cabinets, a refrigerator and bar sink. Adjacent to the shelter is a fire pit and an Amish hand-crafted solid wood outdoor table with four chairs and a 9-foot umbrella.
The driveway entrance to the estate is at 1136 Hunter Springs Rd. The driveway is about 1600 feet long. Indian Creek runs through the property adjacent to Route 122. Total frontage on the creek is about 2000 feet. Ample grassy areas on Indian Creek are ideal for picnics and fishing. Wildwood has approximately 7 acres of hay, yielding up to 36 bales per cut. Two seasonal streams skirting the property rush down to Indian Creek creating small, steep waterfalls and rapids. Old logging roads through the woods present ideal hiking trails. A rocky cliff facing Indian Creek marks the northeast corner of the property. A steel structure provides shelter for maintenance equipment such as a small tractor and its attachments. The well-head (425 feet deep into limestone) is located in the 8'x10' tool shed.
